  1.

I don’t think there are many legit excuses to not work out.

And I see many people say that there are 24 hours a day to workout so you should be able to squeeze in a 20 minute workout, and while I agree, there are also things that you have to consider when working out.

    1. Driving time (wether it’s to the gym, or to the trail to do cardio). + 5 minutes (assuming you don’t have to go very far).
    2. When you have eaten and when you might find the time to do workouts after having eaten AND given yourself enough time to digest so you don’t vomit everywhere. + 30 minutes to make sure you don’t vomit (that’s generally when your body starts processing food from your stomach into your small intestine, though it could take up to 4 hours).
    3. Showers after working out. If you do enough cardio, you should be sufficiently disgustingly sweaty (especially if you are only doing a 20 minute workout, it should be worth it and therefore you should sweat a lot). Most people don’t want to go back to work or school being super sweaty, so you have to add on AT LEAST 15 minutes to shower, change and be ready to go back to the real world.   + 15 minutes
    4. Driving home. Lets say you are going home or back to work so + 5 minutes

So this 20 minute workout now is up to a 75 minute excursion.

Some of this may not be true for everyone, but we do have to keep in mind that time is of the essence and yes, you have to schedule it into your day, but there are more things to consider than just a 20 minute workout.

  2.

It’s time for some goal setting

I need to do a full century ride this year.

It’s time to start doing this training!

Also, I want to meet Danni from the biggest loser. Someone needs to tell me where to send her some fan mail!

  4.   THIS IS NOT OKAY..
To get more toned, you should be lifting heavier weights, not those stupid little baby weights that are in this picture.

LIFT HEAVY, LOOK HOT.

Does anyone know of a cheap (but good) website (other than cafe press) to get custom tshirts done?

I’m thinking of making some custom tank tops for working out.

  6.   She can be lifting more than that. That’s likely only 20-25lbs.

Does anyone know any good (relatively inexpensive) weight loss (food/exercise) trainers online? I’ve been trying to get over this plateau since April 2012. I’m stuck at around 170-175 lbs.

  15.   First ride since October! 20 miles, 15.1 mph average. Have about 4 weeks to get up to 55 miles for the Palm Springs ride. Pretty good. I’m pretty exhausted right now and going to eat a veggie burger at the Habit! Mmmmmmmm protein and carbs!
